Dilip Rai is the Founder and Principal of RAI Lawyers & Associates. Since his admission to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia as a lawyer in 2015, Dilip has worked across a wide array of legal matters intersecting different disciplines. “Presently, his primary areas of interest and practice are in the Property, Business, Corporate &  Commercial, Family and Criminal Law matters.”

Dilip is currently admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the Federal and Family Courts, and the High Court of Australia. He has appeared before Local Courts, District Courts, the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, the Family Court of Australia, and the Supreme Court of NSW including various State and Federal Appeal Tribunals, Ombudsman, Commissions, Police Interviews in his client’s diverse matters with varying degrees of complexities and client-specific requirements. He has successfully represented clients in very complex Family Law, Corporate Law and Criminal Law matters that have lasted in the courts for many years. To date, he has proficiently worked with Junior Counsels, Senior Counsel, Queen Counsel, publicly renowned Psychiatrists, Forensic Experts, Psychologists, Physicians and other professionals in complex Family law, Criminal Law and Corporate Law matters to achieve favourable outcomes for his clients.

Dilip is tremendously efficient, perceptive, strategic and an excellent negotiator. His ability to identify and secure opportunities for his clients are second to none. He is very direct and on point on any legal issues. He truly understands when a fight is not worth the hassle and when to take a stern, hard-line approach and stand your ground. He speaks Nepalese, English and Hindi.

Dilip is an avid reader. His favourite books are Descartes’ “Rules for the Directions of the Mind” and Dostoevsky’s “Notes from Underground”.
